Beyoncé has officially been declared a billionaire by Forbes, becoming only the fifth musician in history to reach the 10-figure wealth milestone and reinforcing her position as one of the most commercially powerful figures in global entertainment.
The 44-year-old US superstar now joins an elite group that includes Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Bruce Springsteen, according to the business magazine’s latest estimates.
Forbes did not disclose a precise net worth figure, but confirmed that a combination of blockbuster touring revenue, music catalog earnings and a growing portfolio of business ventures pushed Beyoncé’s fortune beyond the billion-dollar mark.
Blockbuster Tours Drive Wealth Surge
A major driver of Beyoncé’s rise into billionaire territory has been her recent run of hugely successful world tours. Her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, her first solo tour in seven years, grossed nearly $600 million, placing it among the highest-grossing tours of all time and firmly establishing her as one of the world’s top live performers alongside Taylor Swift.
Beyoncé also broke new ground by distributing a Renaissance concert film directly through US cinema chain AMC, bypassing traditional studios. Forbes estimates she retained nearly half of the film’s $44 million global box office revenue.
“Cowboy Carter” Era Redefines Commercial Power
In 2024, Beyoncé reinvented her musical identity with “Cowboy Carter,” a country-inspired album that went on to win Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards, a long-sought accolade after four previous nominations.
The album was followed by the Cowboy Carter tour, which Forbes estimates generated more than $400 million in ticket sales, alongside an additional $50 million in merchandise revenue.
The tour featured guest appearances from her husband Jay-Z, two of their three children, and former Destiny’s Child bandmates, adding to its global appeal.
Record-Breaking UK Shows
Beyoncé’s UK leg included six sold-out nights at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, drawing more than 275,000 fans and generating over £45 million in revenue.
According to the stadium, the Cowboy Carter tour achieved the highest ticket sales and biggest gross of any artist ever to perform at the venue, a testament to her sustained global drawing power.
Business Empire Beyond Music
Beyoncé began building her empire in 2010 with the creation of Parkwood Entertainment, allowing her to manage nearly every aspect of her career. This included music production, concert planning, and documentary releases. Her philosophy, inspired by industry icons like Madonna, emphasized creative and financial independence.
In 2008, she founded Parkwood Entertainment, a management and production company that oversees her career and allows her to retain greater creative and financial control over her projects.
She later launched Ivy Park, a clothing brand founded in 2016 and discontinued in 2024, before expanding into new ventures last year with SirDavis, a whiskey label, and Cecred, a hair-care brand.
- Cécred: hair-care brand
- SirDavis: whiskey label
- Ivy Park: clothing line (discontinued in 2024)
Despite these expansions, Forbes notes that the bulk of her personal wealth comes from her music, owning her catalog, staging global tours, and monetizing live performances in innovative ways.
High-Value Endorsements and Media Deals
Beyond touring and albums, Beyoncé continues to command premium fees for select appearances and endorsements. Forbes estimates she earned around $50 million for headlining a special halftime show during Netflix’s first Christmas Day NFL game, and $10 million from a series of Levi’s advertising campaigns.
Combining touring income, music catalog royalties and commercial deals, Forbes estimates Beyoncé generated $148 million in 2025 before taxes, making her the third highest-paid musician in the world this year.
From Destiny’s Child to Billionaire Status
Beyoncé began her career in the 1990s as a member of Destiny’s Child, alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, before launching a solo career that delivered six UK number-one singles and five UK number-one albums.
She now holds the record as the most awarded and most-nominated artist in Grammy history.
Married to Jay-Z since 2008, the couple have three children: Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir, and together form one of the most influential power duos in global entertainment.
A Rare Financial Milestone
According to Forbes, there are more than 3,000 billionaires worldwide in 2025, but only a handful have built their fortunes primarily through music.
While Beyoncé has diversified her income streams, Forbes emphasises that the core of her billionaire status remains her music, particularly her ability to control her catalog, stage massive global tours and monetise her brand on her own terms.
Her latest milestone underscores how elite performers can now rival top business leaders in personal wealth, not just through fame, but through ownership, strategy and scale.
